We have received messages from some of you mentioning that an additional $18 fee was required to receive your puzzle. First, we want to clarify a few points and provide transparency about this situation:
1️⃣ Invoice Attachment: In this project, we had not yet implemented the advice of attaching an invoice to each parcel. This recommendation from our export specialist was not in place at the time but will be incorporated into future projects.
2️⃣ Reducing (Not Eliminating) Fees: Even with an attached invoice, this measure does not eliminate import taxes entirely but helps reduce them to a more reasonable level. Our goal with this approach is to prevent situations like in previous projects, where taxes in the destination country exceeded the value of the puzzle itself.
3️⃣ Customs Issues Clarification: All customs delays on our side during this project were related to our company’s tax requirements in Ukraine and had no impact on the taxes or fees imposed by your country of residence.

Full Transparency: What Happened with Shipping

Dear Backers,
We believe in being fully transparent with you, so we want to share the exact situation we’ve been dealing with.
Last night, we finally received confirmation that customs has released all the packages, and they are now on their way to you. This is a relief, but the journey to this point was far from smooth.
Here’s what happened:
Since registering as a VAT payer, we needed to submit customs declarations for each parcel to secure a 0% VAT rate. We meticulously prepared and submitted all necessary documents. However, due to an oversight by postal workers, all our parcels were processed through standard registers. This error made it impossible for us to complete the required customs declarations.
As a result, we are now liable for approximately $3,000 in VAT payments—an amount we simply don’t have at the moment. We are currently in discussions with Ukrposhta to determine who is responsible for covering these unexpected costs.
To ensure the sustainability of our business and continue creating for you, we began preparing our next project, Treasure Planet – MysteryboxLITE, in parallel. This step is essential for attracting new capital and keeping the company moving forward.
